Strikeborn Guts — Black Swordsman

The complete greatsword kit, and the reason the cliff screenshots look like a real game.

Guts Black Swordsman

Black Swordsman is Strikeborn’s Guts character: Dragon Slayer silhouette, moving cloth, ember on the steel, and the longest complete M1s in the current build. He is not a harder Yuji. He is a different room. This roster sheet is the identity. The inputs live in How to play Guts.

Identity

Guts is why people called Strikeborn “refreshing” in the December tests. A battlegrounds lobby with a real sword range, a grab named Carnage Grip in a launch-day showcase, and camera tech (look down after three M1s, kick off) feels closer to a fighter than to a four-button punch clone. He also looks the part on the official thumbnails: white hair, dark coat, slab of iron over a waterfall.

He is not a finished Berserk story mode. There is no campfire, no apostolic raid. He is a PvP kit. If you wanted a slow adventure game, you opened the wrong Roblox page.

Observed tools

  • Slow, long M1s. Tip spacing is the point.
  • Third-hit uppercut / fourth-hit slam in test strings.
  • Carnage Grip (showcase name) as an early command grab / slot-1 tool.
  • Air variants of at least slots 1 and 4.
  • Look-down kick tech after three M1s.
  • Ultimate incomplete in those same showcases. Do not list it as a win condition.
  • Shared wall jump and jump pad access. The sword does not get a unique double jump; you still have to play the map.

Lab direction variants with the combat method. Names will settle when the community stops renaming the same clip three times a week.

How he feels in a real lobby

On open stone, Guts is a tax on anyone who walks forward with Yuji habits. On a cliff lip, a down slam is a stock. In a tight ruin, he is late. In a 100-player blender his cinematics are a dinner bell; take the dump into the mist and move.

Versus Yuji specifically, you win if the fist never reaches you and you lose if the fist starts a string at the hilt. Versus incomplete slots, you should win if you simply have a full kit — do not take that as skill.

Cosmetics and the shop

The cape already moves. You do not need a paid accessory to make Guts readable. Spins and emotes are randomized; they will not add range. Save currency until you know you still like slow swings after a week. Codes are empty for now anyway.

Where to go next

When the awakening is actually complete, this page will stop carrying the “unfinished super” asterisk. Until then, Guts is a complete grounded-and-air sword kit with a missing firework, which is still more character than the incomplete portraits next to him.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Strikeborn early-access players.

Is Black Swordsman the same as Guts?

Yes. That is the in-game label for the Guts kit.

Is Guts complete?

The base kit is complete. Early showcases said the ultimate was not fully done. He is still a real main, unlike Jinchuriki and Gon.

Why does Guts feel worse on mobile?

Slower swings plus camera tech. Raise sensitivity or start on Yuji. See starter picks.

What is the look-down kick?

A community-named tech from creator footage: three M1s, camera down, Q kick. Details are in the Guts guide.
