Strikeborn Roster

Strikeborn’s select screen looks like a bigger game than you can currently play. This hub is the roster without the wishful thinking: who is complete, who is a portrait, and where to go next.

The experience is an anime battlegrounds fighter. Kits use working titles that map to obvious inspirations — Vessel Sorcerer for Yuji Itadori, Black Swordsman for Guts — plus Naruto-style Jinchuriki and Gon from Hunter × Hunter in various tests. SSSStudio can rename slots at any time. We keep the in-game labels first and the fandom names in parentheses.

Complete kits (play these)

• Yuji / Vessel Sorcerer — fast fists, air converts, counter kick. Lesson: How to play Yuji.
• Guts / Black Swordsman — heavy sword, range, Carnage Grip, look-down tech. Lesson: How to play Guts.

Both sit in S on the tier list because they are the only legal mains. Starter picks tells you which one to click on day one.

Incomplete slots (do not main)

• Jinchuriki and Gon — shown in tests with missing skills or M1-only tools. They are why the free public build still waits on a third finished character.

If a patch suddenly completes one of these, that page will move to a full roster entry like Yuji and Guts. Until then we will not write fake four-skill breakdowns.

How Strikeborn characters are built

Shared structure, from footage:

• A four-hit M1 family with an uppercut somewhere in the string.
• Four skill slots, several with air and direction variants.
• A dash resource on the HUD.
• An ultimate / awakening that may still be unfinished (explicitly true for Guts in early showcases).
• Access to the same wall jumps and jump pads. Movement is not a perk; it is the map.

That shared skeleton is why combat is a separate guide. Character pages cover identity, observed tools, and matchup notes. They do not reprint the entire air-combo essay.

Who should you read about first?

New players: Yuji then Getting Started. Sword fans: Guts then the Guts lesson, after you can already dash without falling into the ravine. Anime completionists: unfinished roster so you know what you are waiting on, then the roadmap.

There is no secret fifth character in the paid build that this wiki is hiding. If a creator thumbnail shows Vergil, Asta, or Gojo, that is a comment-section wishlist. When SSSStudio actually ships a new complete kit, it gets a page here and a row on the tier list the same day we can verify the moves.
