Strikeborn Yuji — Vessel Sorcerer

The complete fist kit and the default way to learn Strikeborn's air game.

Last updated:

Yuji Itadori

Vessel Sorcerer is the playable Yuji Itadori character in Strikeborn. He is one of two finished kits in paid early access, and he is the one you should click if you want to understand the game rather than win a spacing argument. This roster page is the identity sheet. The lab work lives in How to play Yuji.

Identity

Yuji is the hands character. Public footage shows quicker M1s than the greatsword, a kick that can counter, and air follow-ups that make the waterfall map look like a platform fighter. He is also the most “battlegrounds default” silhouette, which is why this wiki keeps yelling at you not to paste Jujutsu Shenanigans combos into a different engine.

He does not currently play as Sukuna. If an awakening form exists in your client, treat it as extra until Updates documents a finished transformation. Early Guts showcases already admitted an incomplete super; Yuji may be in the same boat depending on the build.

Observed tools (no invented numbers)

  • Fast M1 family that can convert upward. Confirm whether your third or fourth hit is the launcher — do not assume.
  • A kick that creators used as a counter and as a regular swing.
  • Air-friendly skills that keep a juggle alive if you follow the uppercut on time.
  • Shared movement: dashes, wall jumps, jump pads.

For direction variants, lab them yourself using the method on combat. We will add named skills here when SSSStudio or a consistent community doc settles the labels.

How he feels in a real lobby

In a 1v1 pocket, Yuji is the character who turns a single mistake into an air ride. In a 100-player blender, he is still fast enough to tag someone and dump them toward the ravine before a third party arrives. That dump is more valuable than a 20-hit clip.

He loses patience wars against a Guts who actually holds max range on open stone. He wins if he ever stands next to the sword’s hilt. The matchup is a room-choice problem more than a frame-bible problem. Pick ruins and pads as Yuji; pick courtyards and lips as Guts.

Progression and cosmetics

Levels and shop panels exist in the HUD. They do not complete the kit. Emotes and spins are randomized rewards with in-game rates; they do not change Yuji’s M1 timing. Hold your Robux. Codes will likely grant more of those cosmetics, not a second stance.

Where to go next

If a patch splits Vessel Sorcerer into a distinct awakening page, we will add it under Players rather than stuffing two kits into this file. Until then, this is the Yuji you actually have.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Strikeborn early-access players.

Is Vessel Sorcerer the same as Yuji?

Yes — that is the in-game label for the Yuji Itadori kit. This page and the Yuji guide both describe that character.

Is Yuji complete in early access?

Yes. He is one of two finished kits. Incomplete slots are Jinchuriki and Gon.

Does Yuji have Sukuna?

Do not assume a full King of Curses kit. Treat any awakening you see as extra until updates documents it.

Is Yuji good on mobile?

He is the better mobile starter because his M1s are faster than Guts. See starter picks.
